Vacation is what everyone needs at least once a year. I have places in my hometown to introduce to person who wants a vacation in the most uncomplicated style of life. Loei a very small province in the North East of Thailand. Most people who have visited Loei found it fantastic. Below are places in Loei you should visit.
Loei Downtown: It is a very small town with the pond in the middle of town. If you come during Loy Krathong Festival in November, you will see the local Thai Loei long tail boat racing in the day light, and at night you can float the Krathong (water floating lantern) with lit candle in the town town pond.

Phudradung: Phukradung is a very big sand stone mountain with heaven like weather and views. It is a very paramount national park in Thailand. If you visit Loei, you should climb up Phukradung mountain to prove that you are strong and healthy. You can not visit Phudradung all year round. It closes during rainy season. Hikers and travellers can go up to the top of Phudradung, 2500 meters above sea level, from the 1st of October to the 30th of May each year.
Prathat Srisongrak (Srisongrak Pagoda): It is a friendship pagoda that has long history of Thai and Loa good relationship. Srisongrak pagoda settled in Dansai, a small district of Loei province. If you go there during May or June, you will see a merit production festival called Phitakhon Festival. There is a paramount parade in the festival. people who join in the parade will dress like ghost. They wear masks painted monster photo which made of coconut tree and local sticky rice steamer. See it with your own eyes, you will never forget it.

Chiangkarn: Chiangkarn is one of the districts of Loei bordering with Lao Pdr. You can see Mekong River along the district roads. The sun set is so amazing. There are many low price local guesthouses along the Mekong River bank. You can try local nice food in a customary style of Loei people.
If you have been to all parts of Thailand and you like them. You may like the easy and different Loei province. You may find yourself peaceful and happy in a tiny part of Thailand called Loei.
